Landgoed Huis De Voorst Wedding
PAULA + YANG HANG
AUGUST, 2025
EEFDE, THE NETHERLANDS
Paula and Yang Hang’s wedding at Landgoed Huis de Voorst felt deeply considered from start to finish—a day where strong visual direction met emotion, heritage, and real presence.
With a background in art direction, Paula brought a clear creative voice to the celebration. Every element had intention, but the atmosphere remained warm and natural, never staged.
The day began in one of the apartments at Landgoed Huis de Voorst, where the bridal party got ready together. The setting allowed for a slow, grounded start: space to move, talk, and ease into the day rather than rushing between locations. That sense of calm shaped everything that followed.
The garden ceremony at Landgoed Huis de Voorst held both their civil vows and a Chinese tea ceremony honouring Yang Hang’s family heritage. Moments like these add depth to a wedding story, connecting generations within a modern celebration.
Instead of one long portrait session, we created smaller windows of time throughout the day. Right after seeing each other, everything felt tender and slightly surreal. Later, after the ceremony, they had settled—softer, more relaxed, fully present. The different corners of Landgoed Huis de Voorst gave each set of images its own mood while keeping the gallery cohesive.
Before dinner upstairs, Yang Hang’s mother performed on traditional Chinese instruments, creating one of the most still and emotional moments of the day. Later, the atmosphere lifted with a vibrant Chinese dragon dance that surprised guests and brought a burst of energy to the evening celebration.
Paula and Yang Hang’s wedding at Landgoed Huis de Voorst was a beautiful balance of design, family, and cultural identity—a day that felt as meaningful as it was visually striking.
