Florence has a way of slowing everything down — inviting you to be present, to take it all in. For Paige and John, it became the setting for something they’ll remember forever: their intimate wedding day.

It was their first time in the city, but Florence quickly felt like the right place. Before exchanging vows, they flipped a coin to decide who would speak first — a small, light-hearted moment that helped ease the nerves. There were shaky hands, teary eyes, and words that came straight from the heart.

After exchanging their vows and rings, we walked through the streets — just following the rhythm of the day. They’re used to taking long walks together back home in the U.S., so wandering like this felt familiar, grounding. Along the way, they paused to soak it all in, stopped for a few quiet moments, and even ducked into a photo booth, laughing as they searched for a 2€ coin. It was simple and honest — just like their connection.

What I loved most about their Florence elopement was how relaxed and true it felt. No rush, no pressure — just two people really being with each other, taking in the joy of what they’d just promised.

If you're thinking about eloping in Florence, there’s no need to overcomplicate it. All you need is the right person, a beautiful city, and space to make it yours.
